Roboplaz – Robotic Cold Atmospheric Plasma Application System for Enhancing Osseointegration in Veterinary and Medical Implants

This TÜBİTAK 1501 project aims to develop a robotic cold atmospheric plasma jet system to enhance osseointegration in veterinary and medical implants. In the project, which will last 24 months, while Pacem develops the device design and the plasma process, Vimics will undertake lattice geometry integration, Travmavet will conduct tests on veterinary implants, Trabtech will perform biological evaluation, and Addpark will carry out additive manufacturing prototype productions.

Cold plasma technology increases cellular adhesion by cleaning implant surfaces, reduces the risk of infection, and ensures rapid integration with the bone. It aims to shorten recovery times in veterinary and medical applications by offering surface improvement, particularly for 3D-printed lattice-structured implants.

The project will provide a competitive surface treatment technology for the global market with its innovative robotic plasma application.
